WWE Plans For Brock Lesnar At Elimination Chamber 2023
WWE fans were left stunned by Brock Lesnar's explosive appearance at the Royal Rumble 2023, and rumors are circulating that he could make a comeback at Elimination Chamber 2023. The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar dominated the Men's Royal Rumble match, quickly eliminating top competitors and igniting a heated stare down with Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER.
But just as fans were anticipating a big showdown between Brock Lesnar and GUNTHER, The Allmighty Bobby Lashley disrupted the moment by eliminating Brock Lesnar. Infuriated, Brock Lesnar unleashed a barrage of destruction, attacking WWE officials, destroying ringside equipment and delivering a devastating F5 to Baron Corbin before making a dramatic exit.
The intense interaction between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley at the Royal Rumble 2023 has set the stage for their third match in the trilogy, with WrestleMania being a potential platform. However, latest backstage reports suggest that Brock Lesnar might make an appearance at the upcoming Elimination Chamber 2023 premium live event.
According to the Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, the former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar should appear at Elimination Chamber and Bobby Lashley could be his opponent. The growing demand for Brock Lesnar vs. GUNTHER at WrestleMania may prompt WWE to bring this highly anticipated match to fans sooner than expected.
WWE Had Huge Plans For Pat McAfee This Year
WWE fans were thrilled by the return of SmackDown color commentator Pat McAfee, and there could be more in store for the talented announcer. The Royal Rumble saw Rhea Ripley win the Women's Royal Rumble, Bray Wyatt defeat LA Knight in the first-ever Pitch Black match, and Cody Rhodes make his triumphant return by eliminating GUNTHER to earn a world title shot at WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles.
The show was highlighted by Sami Zayn's shocking turn on Roman Reigns, leading to one of the most talked-about segments in recent history. And at the beginning of the Royal Rumble premium live event, SmackDown announcer Pat McAfee made a surprise return to the company.
According to a report from Fightful Select, McAfee's return was kept secret from Michael Cole and Corey Graves, and he was flown in to the Alamodome in a private jet. It's also noted that McAfee was originally considered for a spot in the Royal Rumble, but that did not come to fruition.
This report also further states that WWE is hoping to have Pat McAfee wrestle this year, as he has been impressive in his previous matches for the company, including a win over Austin Theory at last year's WrestleMania and Happy Corbin at SummerSlam 2022.
Former Champion Not Signed With WWE Despite Returning At Royal Rumble 2023
WWE fans were buzzing with excitement when Nia Jax made a surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble 2023, leading many to speculate about a potential contract with the company. Despite a production mishap, Nia Jax's entrance at number 30 in the Women's Royal Rumble match left fans in Philadelphia stunned.
Although Jax lasted only two minutes in the bout, it took a team effort of 11 Superstars to eliminate her. However, fans hoping for Jax's full-time return to WWE may be disappointed, as she is still scheduled for an appearance outside the company.
WrestlingNews recently pointed out that, unlike another returnee Chelsea Green, the former Raw Women's Champion Nia Jax's name is not listed on WWE's current roster page. Instead, she is still listed in the alumni section, leading to speculation that she may not have signed a new contract with the company.
Additionally, Nia Jax is scheduled to appear at The Big Horror Event on March 10 and 11, further suggesting that her Royal Rumble appearance was a one-time occurrence. While it's still possible that Nia Jax will make a full-time comeback to WWE in the future, for now, it seems she remains outside of the promotion.
