WWE News: Seth Rollins WrestleMania 39 Opponent Update, Austin Theory Losing US Title?

Seth Rollins WrestleMania 39 Opponent Update

The former WWE Champion Seth Rollins is reported to have a confirmed match at WrestleMania 39, where he will face YouTube sensation, Logan Paul. Their connection dates back to the Royal Rumble event last month, where Logan Paul eliminated Seth Rollins, from The Rumble match.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that the match between Seth Rollins and Logan Paul is almost guaranteed, with only an official announcement from WWE remaining.

"There is nothing notable new regarding WrestleMania plans past publicity and interviews from the past week indicate Seth Rollins vs. Logan Paul is as close to official as possible without the match announcement." (H/T: Inside The Ropes)

Backstage Details About Who Could Dethrone Austin Theory For The US Title

The United States Champion, Austin Theory, is set to defend his title against five other competitors at the upcoming Elimination Chamber event. It is widely speculated that he will likely lose the championship in the intense match, as he is up against formidable opponents such as Seth Rollins, Montez Ford, Damian Priest, Bronson Reed, and Johnny Gargano. Reports suggest that Damian Priest is the favorite to become the next US Champion.

There are also rumors that Austin Theory will be facing John Cena at WrestleMania 39, with multiple sources claiming that the match is already set, despite the lack of official confirmation. In this case, it wouldn't make sense for Theory to enter the match as the champion, as it would mean that John Cena would lose.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Damian Priest is poised to become a two-time US Champion at the Elimination Chamber. He stated that there are no plans for Johnny Gargano to win the championship, and WWE has no intention of splitting up The Street Profits at this time. Seth Rollins, on the other hand, has a match against Logan Paul at WrestleMania 39, and he does not need the title.

''Reed is a longshot but they could and probably will try to portray him in a manner to become a bigger star. Priest could win at this stage and would probably be the favorite aside from Theory.''
