Brock Lesnar WrestleMania 39 Opponent Update
Recently, there were rumors suggested that WWE creative had a new-generation opponent for Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania: The Ring General Gunther. Another report noted that WWE pitched the idea of WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin to face Brock Lesnar at Mania but not finalized yet.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the earlier reports regarding Stone Cold Steve Austin potentially facing Roman Reigns on The Grandest Stage are false, instead he might face Stone Cold Steve Austin at the Grandest Stage of them all.
“It was Brock Lesnar. It’s not on. It’s been talked about probably for months, because I know when that Brock Lesnar/GUNTHER thing came up, I was told immediately, ‘That’s not happening’, or, ‘That’s not the idea right now’. Maybe it’s gonna happen now. But the idea was something that’s a secret. So Austin was that secret. The match is not on, and it looks like it’s gonna be Lesnar with Lashley based on the show tonight.”
However, it remains unclear whether Brock versus Bobby Lashley III will take place at the Elimination Chamber or WrestleMania 39. Either way, the next clash between both superstars could potentially be their last, could be where they go all out.

Major Tag Team And Hall Of Famer Returning To WWE
The former Raw Tag Team Champions Akam and Rezar of The Authors of Pain (AOP) were let go by the company during the mass release of budget cuts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Prior to their departure, they were part of a heelish faction with Seth Rollins and Murphy during The Visionary's run as "The Monday Night Messiah."
According to the Fightful Select reports, there have been internal discussions within WWE about bringing back AOP and WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering, most likely to the main roster. They were all part of the black and gold era of NXT but never made it to the main roster as a trio.
