Drew McIntyre Injury Update And WWE Return Date

Previously, it was reported that the former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre suffered an injury following Survivor Series WarGames. McIntyre was supposed to team up with Sheamus to challenge The Usos for the Undisputed Tag Team titles on the December 9th edition of Friday Night SmackDown. 


But a few days before the show, Drew McIntyre took to Twitter and announced that he had been "medically disqualified" from competing. Later, WWE announced Butch as replacement , and The Brawling Brutes ended up losing their title shot against The Usos on the show.

The Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre recently appeared on the 200th episode of WWE's The Bump via a pre-recorded video, where he spoke about his injury. Although he did not specify what kind of injury he suffered, he confirmed that he will be around "soon."


"I wish I could be there physically, sadly I can't right now. I appreciate everybody checking in. You know, if Drew McIntyre's not at work, there's a reason. But I can tell you all I'll be back very very soon. There's a certain season on the horizon, WrestleMania season. And I'm not going to miss that," said McIntyre. [From 9:42 to 9:59]


Now, we got an update about Drew McIntyre return date. According to the PWInsider reports, The Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre will make his return on December 15, 2022 at a Live Event in Madison Square Garden, for eight-man tag team match. He is scheduled to team with Kevin Owens, Braun Strowman and Sheamus against The Bloodline: Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos, Sami Zayn, and Solo Sikoa.


Sasha Banks WWE Release Update

According to Fightful Select reports, The Boss Sasha Banks' exit was negotiated “months ago” when Wrestling Inc broke the news. Fightful was informed that The former Raw Women's Champion Sasha Banks would be able to take wrestling-related bookings beginning on January 1st, 2023 due to contractual reasons.


This report further stated that WrestleCade wasn't the only wrestling-related operation that wanted to book her, with The Big Event being another one that was interested in her. Fightful Select also reported that the deal between Sasha Banks and New Japan Pro-Wrestling was agreed upon just a few weeks ago.
