Reported Backstage Details On Future WWE Releases; Vince McMahon's Role Regarding Releases

This year WWE had released over 50 superstars with the latest set to releases from NXT brand. Before that WWE shockingly released the former Universal Champion The Fiend Bray Wyatt.

Now, we got some details about future releases. According to the Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, high-level WWE official told him that the releases are going to be a "regular occurrence" from now but there won't be on the same degree and scale as the earlier ones.

Another reliable source, Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Wrestling Podcast also stated that more releases will be coming in future.

Fightful Select also reported that WWE Boss Vince McMahon had strongest say about the releases and if he wants, he can stop any of the releases. However, these WWE releases are 'collaborative effort'.

This report also added that "mass releases" weren't a major concern before 2021 and that officials believed this year to be an exception when it comes to releases.
