WWE Officially Released Braun Strowman, Aleister Black And More Superstars

WWE continued to axe the roster and this time some surprising names are including in the list. Earlier, it was reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select that another round of budget cuts were coming this week.

Now, WWE confirmed the names third round of releases from the past six weeks. That list starts with former Universal Champion Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Ruby Riott, Buddy Murphy and Santana Garrett.

It was a big surprise for the fans especially with Braun Strowman, who was in the Universal Championship Match two weeks back and Aleister Black, who recently returned to WWE TV and teases a feud with Big E.

This unexpected releases seems to be the extension of budget cuts that came over a month ago. The previous round of releases came on April 15, 2021, a year to the day WWE released a number of talent in 2020. A few weeks later, WWE also released several NXT wrestlers.

WWE has come to terms on the release of Samoa Joe, Chelsea Green, Tucker, Kalisto, Bo Dallas and Wesley Blake.
