Triple H Reportedly Wants To Bring Back Recently Released WWE Superstar



The former NXT Champion Samoa Joe was one of the superstar released by WWE after his stint as announcer on Monday Night Raw. His release was a big shocker and many fans and wrestlers expressed their unhappiness via social media.


Samoa Joe was slated for 90-day non-compete clause but now, there were many rumors surrounding around the internet that Joe would be returning to NXT in non-wrestling role.

PWInsider reports confirmed that Samoa Joe is coming back to NXT. It was also reported that NXT Boss Triple H "snatched him back' as soon as possibly he could after Joe's release. Triple H wanted him to work in NXT and recent reports suggest that he could be the authority figure in Black and Gold brand.


It was also noted that Triple H was the one who brought Samoa Joe to NXT back in 2015. Following the Joe's release in April, Triple H wasn't happy with it and tried to get him back to WWE NXT from then.

Since February 2020, Samoa Joe was kept out of in-ring action as he doesn't clear to wrestle. This report also adds that, with the history of concussions, Joe could be kept out of in-ring action over a year.


Recently, there were many rumors suggesting that Samoa Joe might be replacing William Regal in NXT after William Regal comments at NXT Takeover: In Your House Show. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter also reported that Samoa Joe might get William Regal like role in NXT.
