Following that reports, WrestleVotes also reported that Summer Slam 2021 will not take place on Sunday and it will be scheduled to August 21st, 2021 on Saturday.

However, it was also noted that current update is 'provisional' as Manny Pacquiao fight is currently scheduled to take place on the same date on August 21st, 2021, which would certainly divide audience.
Update: 8/21 is currently “provisional” according to a source. Pacquiao fight wasn’t official until 5/21, no updates since on document being circulated. 8/22 & Sat 8/7 shown as “holds”. WWE’s preference is SAT. However being honest, I’m not entirely sure where it stand as of now.

WWE hasn't made any official announcement regarding WWE's biggest event of summer but all signs points that Summer Slam 2021 might take place on Saturday, August 21 (or August 7) in Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
