"I became like a circus bear" - Miro Comments On His WWE Career

AEW Superstar Miro recently had an interview with The New York Post and discussed about several topics including his WWE career.

Miro had ten-year run in WWE as Rusev, started from FCW, which became NXT, then, moved to main roster. He initially had feud with John Cena and fans expected that he might become the future World Champion.

He never held world title in WWE but won US Title on three occasions. At the end of his WWE run, Rusev had controversial storyline in which his real-life wife Lana was in a romantic on-screen relationship with Bobby Lashley. Then, he was released in April 2020 and later joined AEW.

During the interview, Miro opened up about the mistake he made in WWE. He stated that he agreed to everything that was given to him by WWE and became the circus bear.

"So if you give me something, I'll make it the best (of it) and that's the problem," said Miro. "I won't be happy until I'm the talk of the whole business, of course. But somewhere along the lines, and this is going to tie it into it, I kept saying yes. I became this circus bear. I was a killer. I came in 2013-14 (to NXT) and killed everybody and then they gave me a little bit of something else. I showed how good I was at that, too. I became like a circus bear. The more I said yes, the more crap I have to eat."

Miro has been with AEW since last year's September but didn't make an impression in the company until last month, where he attacked his tag team partner, Kip Sabian. He also won the TNT Championship by defeating Darby Allin earlier this month.
