Mustafa Ali Thought That He Would Be Facing This Former WWE Champion At WrestleMania 37 | Sports Arena News

Mustafa Ali recently had an interview with Metro and revealed that he thought he would be facing former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania 37.

WWE have teased the angle between Kofi Kingston and Mustafa Ali, Ali also had couple of promos about Kofi Kingston. But plans have changed.

“The story was presented and I really thought that was the direction we might be going for in this year’s WrestleMania. Again, like I said, things change and other things take priority sometimes. We almost got to it, so I will try to get to it again. There’s so much real emotion that I can just bring up and bring out in promos leading to that match. When we do do it, I hope we’re allowed to do it right because I feel like it’d be one hell of a story.”

At WrestleMania 35, Kofi Kingston won the WWE Championship for the first time in his career by defeating Daniel Bryan. But this KofiMania has started after Mustafa Ali got injured and replaced by Kofi Kingston at Elimination Chamber 2019.

Mustafa Ali also revealed the original plans that he was set be became the next breakout star going to Elimination Chamber but it's all changed after he got injured.

"KofiMania’s something that had been 11, 12 years in the making. So there was no way to measure up to that, and in the end of the day it was fate that took over. I don’t know what the plans were going into WrestleMania, I can only speculate. But, what I do know is that the plans were to set me up as the next breakout star going into the Elimination Chamber."

Later, Mustafa Ali revealed as Smackdown Mysterious Hacker and also the leader of RETRIBUTION. But at WWE Fastlane 2021, RETRIBUTION Faction got split up. At WrestleMania 37, Mustafa Ali will be part of Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, while, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods defending their Raw Tag Team Titles against AJ Styles and Omos.
