Brock Lesnar DONE With WWE For 2019?

It looks like WWE Champion Brock Lesnar could be done with the promotion for 2019.

This is according to Cageside Seats' daily Rumour Roundup column, which notes that while 'The Beast Incarnate' is currently booked to work Royal Rumble 2020 on 27 January, he isn't expected to appear again before the end of the year. If accurate, this obviously means no WWE Championship match at next week's TLC 2019 pay-per-view.

Lesnar recently defended his WWE Title against Rey Mysterio in a No Holds Barred/No Disqualification match at Survivor Series 2019. Effectively a two-on-one handicap match thanks to Dominic's involvement, 'The Beast' overcame his undersized challenger in approximately seven minutes regardless.

Brock's latest reign as a World Champion began on SmackDown's 4 October FOX season premiere. Lessnaar squashed Kofi Kingston in just a few seconds that night, kickstarting another divisive reign for the part-time megastar, whose easy road schedule always sparks ire whenever he's holding one of the promotion's top prizes.

It's hard to forecast who Lesnar might defend his belt against at the Royal Rumble, as there's currently no obvious top babyface choice on Raw. Perhaps one will emerge over
The coming weeks.

Ryback On Why He Thinks CM Punk Didn't Sign With AEW.

CM Punk is back with WWE, in a way, as a FOX employee on WWE Backstage. He is a special contributor and analyst and has stated that he has no current plans to return to the ring.

Ryback discussed why he believes Punk turned down AEW on his podcast with Wrestling Inc. President Raj Giri.

"CM Punk, this weird dynamic, who at one time didn't want anything to do with pro wrestling is all of a sudden going in and talking about WWE. And like I said, I think it is a weird chess game going on where he is going to go there and shoot on stuff in a more negative way and call bulls**t when he sees it on things that he doesn't like, and he is allowed to give his opinion on different things. And FOX is going to allow it, where it is going to create a situation where he is going to probably be able to go back and get the WrestleMania main event match that he always wanted. That is what I feel like is going on, and that is what I feel like is going on, and that is why I feel like he didn't go to AEW," said Ryback.

WWE TLC 2019 Matches Revealed?

Wrestling fans could be forgiven for forgetting that WWE's last pay-per-view of the year, TLC 2019, goes down less than two weeks from now (15 December), so crazy is pro-wrestling's schedule at the moment.

WWE are yet to announce a single bout for the event, though it looks like a couple of big matches are currently in the process of being ironed out - and they could be announced during this week's Raw and SmackDown.

Per Dave Meltzer on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE plan on having Baron Corbin and Roman Reigns face off in some kind of stipulation match, while Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are expected to challenge for The Kabuki Warriors' Women's Tag Team Championships. Both contests are in-line with recent booking patterns.

Putting it politely, the Corbin vs. Reigns feud hasn't been WWE's most highly-praised feud of the year, and rumours from a few weeks ago pointed towards a potential Dog Collar Match. Asuka and Kairi Sane vs. Flair and Lynch, meanwhile, has already produced a number of singles and tag matches, with The Kabuki Warriors successfully defending their traps in a four-way containing the Raw duo at Starrcade yesterday.

Arrow Star Stephen Amell Coming To This Tuesday's WWE Backstage.

WWE has just announced that Arrow star Stephen Amell is coming to WWE Backstage this Tuesday at 11 p.m. ET on FS1.

Amell will be going to "Promo School." Other celebrities who have been on the segment before include Gabriel Iglesias, David Arquette, Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, and LaVar Arrington.

In 2015 at SummerSlam, Stephen Amell teamed up with former WWE star Neville and defeated former WWE stars King Barrett and Stardust.

WWE QUIETLY TURNED TWO SUPERSTARS BABYFACE ON SMACKDOWN THIS WEEK.

WWE can turn a Superstar heel or babyface any way they decide to. If it is too sudden then fans might be a bit confused. That is what happened this week on Friday Night SmackDown.

Dave Meltzer explained during Wrestling Observer Radio that Lacey Evans and Elias both turned babyface on Friday Night SmackDown this week. They were “turns with no turn” meaning that no build was laid down before their turns. They just showed up on screen this week with a different demeanor.

“So the key was that Bayley wouldn’t like attack her. [Lacey Evans] attacked Sasha and Bayley backed off. So like Bayley didn’t help Sasha either so Bayley wouldn’t jump her. The idea was that Bayley was afraid of her, yeah [Lacey Evans] turned. Elias turned with no turn so we’re doing a lot of turns with no turns.”

It makes much more sense that Elias would return to television as a babyface. He sang a song about busting Drake Maverick to his wife Renee Michelle for hitting on Dana Brooke. Meanwhile, Lacey Evans’ babyface turn was a bit more unexpected, but she has been building a rapport with fans for a while now. Apparently, this set her up for a top feud with Bayley and Sasha Banks.
